Now that plans had been made to build a new pond it was time to get somewhere that i could house the fish until the new build had finished, plans were made for a 440 gallon holding tank in a outhouse i had, but it was also in my plans to use this as a quarantine facility once the new build had reached completion. The holding tank was going to be block built with a 2" bottom drain, rendered and then fibreglassed.
The first picture is the proposed site of the QT, i decided to render the walls, this was my first attempt and was good practice for when it would come to rendering the tank itself. Next i layed one layer of blocks and fitted the 2" bottom drain, then filled with concrete.

Once the concrete had dried it was time to start laying the blocks. All the back walls had one layer of render, and once the blockwork was finished i did a final layer of render on the back wall.
